My students need a class set of reusable tote bags, foam roller brushes, foam sticky sheets for printmaking, and paint for this environmental friendly project!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Larsen's classroom raised $578
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are caring third graders. They are thoughtful toward each other, and the world we live in. They all come from low income homes, but work their hardest in school every day. I know they often go food shopping with their parents, and help out at home! They are inspiring students that make teaching interesting.
They come to school with smiles on their faces!
They truly care about their education and learning about ways to make the earth a better place for their futures.
My Project
I am requesting a class set of canvas totes to use as the inspiration for this project. The totes will be turned into reusable shopping bags for my students, and their families. This hands-on project will include lessons encouraging students about recycling, waste reduction, and using reusable bags when shopping at the grocery store. To inspire my students to use these bags, I will have them decorate their bags with wonderful fabric paints. The foam rollers, stickies, and paint will also be used as a printmaking tool to create beautiful Earth Day patterns on their canvas totes for the year 2016-2017.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
