My Project

Music teachers often struggle with working with percussion students. They often are some of the most active band students, they are physical beings, they like to hit things, and most band directors are not percussionists. However, these musicians deserve the same care, respect, and equipment that we provide their peers. As I have continued as a band educator, I have seen the value that quality materials plays into building a quality percussion section.

If you give you percussionists quality equipment, it unlocks a level of artistry and musicianship you would not believe.

When my percussionists have access to quality mallets and quality equipment I witness a change in culture in how they perform, how they approach their musicianship, and how they engage with the ensemble.

Percussionists need quality materials as they are the heartbeat of the ensemble. Your donation allows my kids to have what they need to be their best musical selves and prevents that age old question: "What on earth are they use back in the Percussion section?"
