This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students love learning about the digestive system in our Anatomy and Physiology class. We begin by exploring the important role that our teeth play in digestion. Even though most of us practice good dental hygiene and (hopefully) visit the dentist regularly, students typically don't understand how or why cavities form.
This Kemtec Dental Cavity Potential Kit provides an engaging, hands-on opportunity for students to investigate the role that bacteria in our mouths play in cavity formation.
Students will explore bacteria in their mouths and connect it to digestion and good dental hygiene. This lab will encourage students to investigate their diet, their brushing and rinsing habits, and the significance of healthy teeth to the digestive system.
