This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Dramatic play is essential for early learners. Students work in dramatic play areas pretending to be doctors, nurses, veterinarians, and chefs. When students are given the chance to have a hands-on lesson, they are engaged and therefore get a better understanding of the lesson. The items requested will give our pre-k students the opportunity to learn real life skills and most importantly support socialization.

For preschool-age children, the main objective of dramatic play is to encourage social, emotional, and language development.

Through dramatic play, children learn to express themselves, understand different perspectives, and build crucial social skills like cooperation, sharing, and problem-solving. With your help, we can make our dramatic play areas more enriching, exciting, and refreshed with new items to play and learn with!
