Pretend Play Palooza

My Students

Our program serves families with children from birth to kindergarten entry.

Our program is located in our early childhood center and we share several of the same students and families. Many of our families are low income and come from a variety of family circumstances. Our birth to three students and preschool students are excited to learn and experience life to its fullest.

My Project

One of the major ways children experience and learn about the world is through pretend play. Pretend play greatly increases language and imagination skills. These materials will help support our pretend play home visits with families.

This will allow our students to role play with culturally diverse baby dolls and experience different animals of the world.

Our students will have the opportunity to rehearse social interaction and empathy skills while playing with the dolls. They will learn the basic science of the different animals of the world while engaging with the toy animals.
