Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are energetic learners with never ending curiosity. They have a true desire to understand the world around them and are always asking questions!
The materials in this project will provide engaging opportunities for my students to explore different community helpers and occupations and strengthen basic reading skills, comprehension, and fluency with opportunities to reduce stress and refocus.
The Magnetic Tiles Building Blocks and Community Figures set and Melissa & Doug occupation puppets sets will allow my students to role play and communicate with their peers and adults in a different way. The CVC cards, sight word cards, and felt storyboard sets will provide additional means of representation and engagement. This project will help my students better understand and make connections with community helpers, occupations, and literature through pretend play.
