My Project

In an effort to give my students a variety of arts experiences, middle school artists have learned to use different computer programs to create artwork on their Chromebooks. Students have used Google, Kleki, and other websites to create to create pixel art, landscapes, and Veteran's Day artwork. While we still create traditional art using paper and other art supplies, students have been very interested in learning how to create digital artwork as well.

I would love for our art classroom to have access to a color printer to allow students to be able to print out color copies of their digital art.

Currently, artwork is saved in their Google drive and shared with me. I upload their digital art to Artsonia to share with parents, but most of the time students do not receive a hard copy to share. I displayed pixel art in our district office and printed it on my home printer. Veteran's Day artwork was sent to an office supply store to be printed and paid for out of pocket. When I returned printed digital art to the students, they were SO excited!

I currently have plans for 6th and 7th grade artists to create digital self-portraits. A color printer would allow me to print a hard copy for each student to take home. Thank you for your donation to this project. I know my students will love to have instant access to printing a copy of their digital art.
