Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school, was founded forty years ago with the belief that relationships and social justice will make a difference in education. And over the past forty years, we have seen that it has made a difference for our students. We are one of the few public schools with an archives, meant to document the history of school.
We need a photo scanner in order to bring our archives into the digital age, which will help us post photos only and our alumni will be able to tag themselves.
This photo scanner will also be used to teach our Fusion house students career skills. The additional items, a spatula and floss, will be used to help remove photos from their old albums, and then rehouse them in an archival way.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
