Presenting Stop Motion Animation Part II

My Students

I teach at an amazing school full of diversity. We have over seven hundred students and over one hundred are English as a second language students. One hundred are Advanced Program students, along with a robust regular education program and special needs program. We call ourselves "The Greatest School on Earth," and we truly are! I teach our digital learning, where students not only learn computer skills, but they participate in project-based learning. I get to teach all of our amazing students, either in a group setting, small groups, or individually. I am blessed to teach all of our students!

My Project

Stop Motion animation is best done with an iPad that has a stable base so that the pictures are taken from the same height and angle each time. The iPad has to be kept steady as pictures are taken. Purchasing these gooseneck iPad table holders will make that possible for my students. I am excited about teaching stop motion animation this year in my digital learning classes. Students can use any medium they wish, from play dough and clay, tangrams and/or drawings. They can make subtle changes in their creations and take pictures as these changes occur. Once they combine all of their pictures, they will create amazing animated videos. Students can create videos for all subject areas, social studies science and even math.
