My Project

I teach in a large urban school district with a diverse student population. Many are English language learners. My students have accepted the challenge of an Early College program, where they have the opportunity to earn college credits during their final 2 years of high school. My students' passion and excitement have led many of them to continue their studies at 4-year colleges all over the United States. We prepare students for this undertaking through a writing-intensive curriculum where they learn to use the academic language of each discipline.

The materials in this project will make our students' presentations more professional and suitable for including in college application materials.
