My Students

Science Research students are a diverse group of science-loving students. They have chosen to dedicate 3 years of their high school career to researching a science topic of their choice.

These students are an amazing group of high achieving teens striving to make great contributions to the world of science.

Students will spend will spend 2 summers working with a scientist mentor and when they return to school each September they turn their hard work into research papers and presentations to be shared at local symposia, science fairs, and competitions.

My Project

Students in Science Research gain an incredible amount of interdisciplinary skills. These skills include researching, technical writing, graphic poster design, and presenting.

Science Research students learn to convey their research in the forms of research papers, posters, and PowerPoints.

To facilitate PowerPoint presentations and to allow them to have the freedom to move about, students would love to have new wireless presentation remotes with built-in laser pointers.

Wireless presentation remotes will be useful for students who will practice presenting their research in class for the Westchester-Rockland Junior Science Humanities Symposium and at our annual Science Research Symposium. During the symposium, students will be set up in classrooms and will need to have the ability to present from laptops as well as make use of the wireless remotes to interact with their presentation.
