Our students attend an urban public school in Massachusetts. Forty percent of our students are Engish language learners. Many of our students come from low social economic backgrounds They are a very diverse group containing many cultures from around the world.
The middle school students I work with come from a diverse background both ethnically and financially.
Many of my students do not have the funds to shop freely for items they or family members need. Warm clothing and toiletries are often thought of as a luxury item.
My Project
Having the latest technology at the students fingertips will open their imagination. They can print flyers, posters and other forms of evidence of their thinking. The options of ingenuity will be endless.
This state of the art printer will give my students the ability to present projects in color.
This will allow them the flexibility to enphized ideas in a muliple of ways. Just envision the walls of my classroom coming alive with student work supported with color.
The fact that this printer needs less ink than most will give more students access to this technology.
