My students need a presentation cart so that video can be presented to them correctly due to focus vantage as it is a problem with classrooms with no modern technology.
My students learn better when items are presented to them visually. However, most of the time after finding the equipment, assembling it is always a problem due to lack of a cart and it is always frustrating to the students. Tables waste time and makes focus difficult and are not easily movable.
My students are special needs students mostly from low socio-economic background.
Some of them have reading, comprehension or writing needs. Yet, some are classified as slow learners or mentally challenged. In addition, some are learning English as a second language. My school is considered a Chapter One school. Thus, about 85% are on a reduced lunch program. It is a public middle school located in the largest city in North Carolina. Each student has an individualized educational program called an IEP. These students need specialized instruction delivery methods.
My Project
My students learn better when they view examples of concepts being taught and retain most information being presented to them. Also, they actively participate in activities that are projected. My students look forward to underlining definitions of terms, highlighting answers to comprehension questions, identifying main ideas, author's purpose in selections and examining the similarities and differences in selections.
Further more, my students will be able to prove their answers correctly by pointing or underlining clues to their answers. Most important, my students will be able to make correct inferences since they will be able to see evidences vividly and make reasonable decisions. Further more, my students enjoy the role as a teacher in going through warm-up activities. This is the age of technology. Students are familiar with video outside the classroom. Why don't I bring it into the classroom! I NEED A CART! The projection of information is using the 21st century technology.

We have very few in my school. My students learn better when information are projected. My school is not modernly equipped for all the 21st century technology I am always very happy when I see the beaming faces of my students any day that I am able to secure a cart. Please, I want my students to be outstanding on their end of grade test this year. So, I am looking forward to doing what I know would help them meet their goals.
