Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is already a collaborative environment but we lack the materials to fully engage with hands-on activities. The whiteboards will afford my students the opportunity to participate and work collaboratively with small groups. Using the personal whiteboards and the larger whiteboards students will be able to play games, work together as teams, and become fully engaged members of the classroom.
Using the new materials my students can reach their goals easier!
The maps will be displayed in the classroom allowing students to ground their readings in the real world by pinpointing where each story takes place. The students will also be able to track the travels of the main characters and explore the world through the eyes of their various protagonists.
Finally, the students will benefit from being able to organize their materials in the classroom, the plastic bins will grant them the opportunity to stay organized.
