This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In this project I am requesting various picture books for my preschool classroom. They love to read new books! Books I'm asking for are spanish and pete the cat books. These books will be integrated into our monthly studies such as: trees, pets, seasons, insects etc. I want to make sure the books read to students are ones that will interest them. Engaging students to the readings will lead to good book discussions.

Picture books introduce young children to the world of art and literature.

I want to give students positive reading experiences to help them develop a larger vocabulary which will lead them to become good readers and have students build a positive relationship with reading.
