My students love the art center and I love watching them create in the art center. With these supplies, I envision students making life size versions of themselves and their friends. I also envision them making collages, increasing their fine motor strength and growing their brains and hearts.
These materials will keep our art area a desirable place to visit and create during center time.
I am requesting skin tone paper, markers, crayons, and paint to help them create collage portraits of themselves and their friends. I am also requesting modeling clay, which will increase their fine motor strength and get them ready for writing.
I am also requesting velour paper, which is a specialty paper to use with our oil pastels. Students will use the pastels we already have to make self-portraits for their monthly self-portrait pictures. They will also use the skin tone materials for this as well.
