Preschoolers: Creating and Building Skills at Home
Help me give my students a bag of items to call their own. Items such as play-dough, wipe off boards, chunky crayons, preschool scissors and dot markers will allow them to play and create while building skills.

My Students
I work with precious preschoolers in two special education classrooms for autism and developmental delays in a Title I school. They are eager to learn and do so best with hands on practice and play! Distance learning for these young scholars is particularly challenging with frequently limited access to technology, an adult to offer direct educational assistance and educational toys and materials.
When offered play based activities at their skill level, they independently engage in play that develops their motor skills, creative thinking and understanding of early academic principles.
My Project
Using these materials, preschoolers can engage in art projects with minimal adult support. They can play with play-dough, snip paper and make marks on paper with little support.
Additionally, any parent on my caseload will have supplies on hand to help their child engage in distance learning guided by myself, an Occupational Therapist.
We will work together to build essential pre-academic and motor skills.
Preschoolers and parents, especially those with limited resources will welcome this bag of skill building goodies to enhance independence and formal support for growth in preschool skills.
