Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The preschool work station project is an effort to create an area in the classroom for students to enjoy working on table tasks and activities. The students in this classroom are 3- 5 years of age with developmental delays. The students benefit from explicit instruction delivered in a quiet, non-distracting setting. Having a variety of work stations in the rooms allows for the students to work in very small groups of 1-2 students at a time to maximize their learning. The students are seating at small tables so they can easily view the task at hand. The cart will hold manipulatives and toys which will help to build fine motor, visual motor and cognitive skills the students work on in the classroom via individual or small group instruction. The project includes some of the items used in the classroom every day to build their early learning skills.
