My Project
These tools will help my preschool students improve their speech and language development. Many of my students have delayed speech and language skills and one in particular has a stoma in his throat from where he previously had a Tracheostomy. He needs to use whistles, bubbles, and blowing toys to practice directing air through his mouth instead of it coming out of his stoma so he has enough air to produce sound. The Pirate Pete and Once Upon A Time books will help them increase vocabulary because they will have to speak to use an item for each page. The preschool activity books will help the students gain basic skills such as identifying colors, numbers, shapes, and letters as well as fine motor skills by tracing and cutting.
