This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students need hands-on sensory/manipulatives to help them focus, transition, and motivate them to work and play. I have created this project so we can have various sensory items in the classroom. Sensory play has an important role in my students' development. Not only does it help them stay engaged, we get to work on their five senses—sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste.
Using materials such as the circuit cars and water table will also boost their language skills and motor skills.
By having them use these sensory toys, it will also promote exploration, creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
