My Students

This is an incredible group of twenty of the most amazing people I’ve ever been fortunate to see growth in their own way. These students are three and four years old. Students are KERA and Headstart eligible. We live in a small town with little diversity. I have seen children with a great interest in the arts, science, math, early literacy, and just simply cooperating in daily activities. It is a pleasure to see children in a happy place. It makes the environment a pleasant place to be in. It is exciting to go to work each day and see twenty smiling adventurous children excited for the day.

My Project

Give my preschool students the opportunity to experience and explore art everyday. Children will learn how to operate a marker with appropriate finger grasp and paint with a brush. Children can explore mixing paint shades and making colors. The colored construction paper will be used for collage and specific classroom projects for identifying colors. Opportunity for art can be throughout the day at specific center times, as well as small group and individual learning times. I have a journal time that inspires children to share experiences and allows each child to be very creative. Please enable my students to explore the world of art without limitations.
