Research shows that children learn best by playing and being an active participant in learning. These preschool learning center manipulatives will allow my students to explore and work on many different skills. We will be able to work on fine motor skills, math and reading skills, turn taking and working together with peers, shape recognition and open ended building. Having these new toys will give a fresh new look on learning for my students.
This project of a variety of learning manipulative toys will help to give my students a multi-sensory experience to explore as all of my students learn through play.
Through these toys, my students will be working on taking turns with peers as they play a game and learn how to win or lose. They will be working on building hand strength and coordination through snapping and using tweezers. They will also be working on sharing with peers and number/letter/shape/color recognition.
Please help fund these manipulative learning center to give my students an opportunity to explore a variety of learning toys as they play and work together as a team. I love working with this age group and being able to be a part of their early learning years. It brings a smile to my face when they accomplish milestones and even the smallest tasks and to watch each student show pure joy when they accomplish tasks.
