My students need an iPad to be exposed to technology in a fun and exciting way to encourage 21st century skills.
Can you imagine not being able to differentiate in the classroom due to lack of technology?
Our school is a large campus ranging in grades preschool through 12th grade.
Our school is still in its infancy, having been started 7 years ago. We are an IB, or International Baccalaureate program, which focuses on reaching out to the many international families within our school. The state of Colorado has many military families. We are lucky enough to live less than a couple miles from a military base and have many military families in our school. We also have many students attending our school that are from other countries.
The children will be able to have fun while using the iPad to play interactive games and songs while learning their letters and sounds, sequencing, shapes, counting, computer skills, spatial relationships, and so many more ways to learn on an interactive computer that is small and child friendly to use. Preschool children are risk takers and want to learn all they can. This will give them an advantage they may not otherwise have. It will also help me to determine what areas they will need help with as the IPad will record their correct and incorrect responses.
Please help our students to continue their growth in their 21st century learning skills.
This is the wave of the future, and I do not want our students left behind the curve of knowledge. Preschool students have such a thirst for learning, and the iPad will help them to learn at their individual level in an exciting and colorful way.
