Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My children are between the ages of 3-5 years and are bright, curious learners. They are learning about themselves, their community, and their world. Once a month, my classroom focuses on a thematic unit through Scholastic Big Day Curriculum.

Children entering Kindergarten are expected to count to 20, recognize shapes and colors, and sort by one or more attribute.

As a teacher I spend the year preparing the children for Kindergarten through various small-group and large group lessons. At some times, the materials I have at hand are not enough to help stimulate the children's learning. A large amount of children are English Language Learners or have Social-Emotional delays and need more hands-on and imaginative toys. Over the years I have had so many toys or learning materials that are discarded due to the children breaking them or using up the material. This is to be expected of children of this age range. For this project I am asking for Lakeshore Counting Kits, a science doctor kit, and art materials. Thank you always for your continued support and love!
