Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I currently co-teach in a preschool classroom, at a Tier-2 school in Hartford, CT. These children are diverse learners and love to explore the environment around them. Help me give my amazing, preschool students At-Home Learning kits focusing on literacy, language, and math!

Weather, pandemic-related closings, and other unforeseen circumstances keep children from attending school in person.

We want to prepare the children with the proper learning materials in the event that schools are quarantined or closed again due to another rise in COVID-19 cases.

Children need to practice/reinforce the skills they have learned at school with their parents. Studies show that children learn best through a hands-on teaching style. These backpacks will allow children to develop their literacy, math, language, and social/emotional skills and be prepared for kindergarten! I can use these materials to teach virtually as well!
