This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello, we are excited to share our plans for a preschool botany center. Our center will need plastic pots and plant shelves. We will place our botany center in a corner by a window where our plants will receive natural light.

Our little ones will learn to care for indoor plants by learning about their needs.

They will also learn to take pride in being responsible for the care of our indoor plants.

We plan to display pocket charts with sentence starters that will facilitate discussions to encourage our little ones to use academic language. We will use the communication buttons to record step by step directions for our botany center. We will also need sticky putty and pushpins to setup posters in their botany corner. Our classroom jobs chart will help us rotate monitors which will include our classroom botanists. Our little ones will need access to our classroom's dimly lit sink to fill up their watering cans and will need lighting.
