Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Teaching special education students requires prepping materials in advance to ensure instructional time is not wasted. In my classroom, I instruct multiple grades and want to allow my students the maximum amount of time to reach their learning potential.
My classroom will learn organization and sequencing with materials to get ready to learn.
With the centimeter cubes, my students will be able to interlock the individual cubes to make tens and learn place value as well as counting. As they need reinforcement with foundational skills, they will be able to review and practice methods to strengthen their understanding.
Classroom learning moves at a fast pace in terms of instructional moments to include all important curriculum criteria. My goals for this project include giving my amazing and capable students opportunities to learn not only what they need to, but what they are inspired to learn.
