This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I've recently become a special education teacher on my campus and wouldn't change it for the world! I love working with the students that are in my class! They are working hard to become self sufficient with coping skills and are spending time in the general education setting.

My students are special to me because they try so hard to be successful in their educational career.

My students do learn through social skills and social stories, as well as the academic portion of their education in general education setting.

My Project

I am asking for supplies so that we are able to start the new year successfully. Because I am a special education teacher, we give out portfolios to general education teachers. That's why I am asking for the file folders with brads. The students also have folders and we would like for them to have the plastic ones so that they do not get worn as the year goes by. Lastly, because I am a special education teacher, a lot of our papers require being shredded. This will help me successfully start my students off next year.

My students spend a lot of their time in the general education classroom and we want them to get a jump start by being prepared for next year!

These supplies will be teacher used, but will benefit our students academically, as well as their social learning.
