This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students

My students are amazing children with a wide variety of needs.
No matter how different those needs may be, the one thing that remains the same in every single one of them is their love of reading! I want to create an atmosphere and classroom library that they will be enthusiastic about and truly look forward to exploring because it will be filled with their favorites! My students need classroom favorite books with our favorite characters: Flat Stanley, Frog and Toad, Cam Jansen, Junie B Jones and Pigeon!
My Project
The books that I am requesting are all of the favorites in the classroom. The children love reading the Pigeon series by Mo Williems. They are in the process of writing their own classroom versions now which will be placed together with the books!
The other books requested are also classic books and classroom favorites, too!
This project is so important to me because I want the students to continue to be excited to read.
By providing them with books that they are interested in reading, I believe that their love for reading will continue to flourish!
