Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The 20 unique students that enter into my classroom daily are eager to learn, enjoy working together, and they truly are outstanding students!
They enjoy working hard and learning new things. Each day we work to learn to love reading, strive to do our best in math, and work to link all our learning together.
My students amaze me daily, they all come from such different backgrounds and converge in our Title One school. They have different experiences and challenges that we all blend together to make our classroom a welcoming environment.
My Project
My students need Expo markers and dry erase cleaner to use with their Write and Wipe boards at their seats. They also need Samsung color ink, to create folder covers,, labels, and signs for our classroom that are colorful and inviting. The Samsung printer toner will be used to create student binder covers, student labels for each academic notebook or folder, and to create classroom posters. The Expo markers will be used for the lessons in class, but also with the students. Each group of students will have a team caddie with all their materials in it including the small Expo marker packs. Students will use the markers to write on their individual Write and Wipe boards. The pens and Sharpie markers will be used for class grading activities and documents that are written underneath the class document camera. Using the Sharpie markers in this way ensures that each student can read the writing, and then the Papermate Flair pens will be used to show details in writing with different colors.
