This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Who doesn't remember how fun circle time was? This is where many got our foundation for what we came to know. I want my students to feel like they have a fun engaging environment and not sit on the bare floor! We can make this happen and make sure that our early learners have a solid foundation!

I will be teaching a group of 6-8 students in a PPCD classroom.

My school is a tier one school with ninety nine percent of our students coming from low-income households. PPCD focuses on building the appropriate skills for special needs preschool students to transition to kindergarten and mainstream successfully.

My Project

I will be able to do everything! Different lessons can be held as well as conducting different group activities. I would also be able to incorporate our mat in our lessons by having them participate with their sitting area as their visual supports! One of the things I want my students to feel everyday is as if they've walked in to a welcoming home. I want everyone to feel that every item and every minute in our classroom will make a difference.

My students will actually have structured sections within our classroom!

I will be able to teach transitioning methods and really get a solid foundation for each student. I'm wanting them to be provided with the best education by making sure we have essential materials in our classroom.
