My Students

In a thriving school of over 700 students, I teach 25 energetic 2nd graders who range from high achieving to limited English (ELL) students. We are also privileged to serve military families and children of Barksdale Air Force Base Airmen. Each student helps diversify our population, bringing in knowledge and experience of various cultures and traditions.

No matter the academic or ability level, all of my students have different learning styles that I strive to meet every day.

In return, our students work hard to learn and grow in their academics each day, completing STEM activities, RTI rotations, and computer-based math lessons, leading our school to be a "B" school!

My Project

These materials will be used to add more fun and excitement to daily lessons through practicing math problem solving and moving about the classroom to practice math, grammar, and science standards. The students would start out a teacher led lesson using the dry erase boards and markers to solve given math problems. Independently, they would then complete task cards placed around the classroom and use the clip boards to record their answers as they "write the room".

The dry erase clipboards will serve many purposes, allowing the students to practice math problems as a whole group with the teacher and to work independently recording answers to task cards as they move around the classroom.

The tote caddy will serve as storage for the dry-erase markers and erasers, as well as pencils needed to write answers on they recording sheets as the students solve math problems, practice prats of speech, or answer multiple choice questions in science. No matter the skill practiced, the students love moving about the classroom to learn!
