My Project
We are developing a Farm-to-School Community Kitchen Cooking Class and Food Science Lab. The goal is to give students a dynamic space to learn about food, from our school farm to plate. By merging food science and culinary arts, they will gain practical skills and make informed choices about their food, leading towards culinary careers or food sustainability advocacy.
It's time to fuel our students' passion for sustainable food practices with hands-on experience using this high-quality stainless steel prep table.
Our main objective is to provide students with practical experiences that expose them to the entire food cycle. They will begin preparing dishes with farm-fresh ingredients, thoroughly understanding sustainable food practices. The intention is to equip students with knowledge that will enable them to make informed choices about what they eat, promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainable eating habits. This project is essential in shaping the future of sustainable food practices. By training students in cooking and stewardship, we are raising a generation of young chefs and food scientists who will create a better world.
