Prekindergarten Students Learn to Be Critical Thinkers Through STEM!
Help me give my students opportunities to learn about Science and Math through letter construction sets, building blocks, magnetic tiles, and other STEM materials.
The STEM materials help students to think critically and enhance their vocabulary. Building cognitive developmental skills like executive functioning helps them to think on a different level when using these materials and gives teachers the opportunity to ask questions that help them to extend their learning.
I plan to use the requested materials in the construction center of my classroom to encourage students to explore their curiosity and to explore, plan, and execute whatever they imagine in their heads in order to create and problem-solve along the way.
This will help them to think outside the box in what they learn going forward.
