This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My early childhood classroom is composed of 20 amazing Spanish/English bilingual learners. My students need materials and supplies that will help support their social emotional and pre-literacy development while they are learning virtually during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our school district has a high number of children living in poverty and has a diverse population of students from different backgrounds. Our school has a large number of English language learners and students who qualify for free or reduced-price school lunch. Please support my classroom by helping my students have access to educational materials that will enhance their educational virtual learning experiences.

My Project

During this unprecedented time of distance learning, I have to find creative ways for my students to continue their educational journey at home. My young learners will be receiving care packages to help them explore and learn from home.

This distance-learning project consist of a set of magnetic alphabet, magnetic dry erase boards, and dry erase markers, for each of my students.

These materials will complement the educational basket they will receive with academic materials. The magnetic board, markers, and magnetic letters in this project will allow my students learn in a creative way while at home. I will incorporate the materials into the lessons and activities we do daily virtually. My students will be able to use the magnetic letters to create words and put them in alphabetical order. With the dry erase markers, they will be able to draw and write on the magnetic board. Thank you for your support!
