This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Technology is such an important part of education these days. We need to start exposing our little ones in preschool so they are better prepared for the future.

I teach preschool special education on a general education campus in California.

Our school consists of students that come from low income families. Every year there are more and more students getting diagnosed with special needs. My class consists of children ages 3-5 years old with multiple disabilities. We are now a STEAM school for grades K-6th!

My Project

Can you imagine what you would do if you didn't have any form of technology in your lives? Some of these students and families that I teach don't have access to technology. That's why I'm requesting two iPad to incorporate into my teaching curriculum. The students can learn their colors, shapes, numbers, letters in a fun, interactive way. They can also learn turn taking, sharing and increase their communication skills.

I believe it's so important to expose students to technology even at this young age.

If they don't have access at home, we as educators, need to give them that opportunity to experience technology in the school setting. Having an iPad in class will make such an impact in these students' lives. Please help us make this happen!
