Help me give my students hand2mind Stem bins to have hands-on, real-life situations to problem solve and explore math and science concepts.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work at a school where ninety percent of students receive free or reduced-price lunches. My students are aged three to five years old, and many are in school for the very first time. My students are curious, full of energy and life, and always eager to learn! They love learning new skills and are proud of their own successes and those of their peers. My ultimate goal is to give my students a positive learning experience in a school setting, setting the foundation for a love of learning and a love of school.
Students learn best through hands-on experiences and through the process rather than always having to produce a product.
We are a classroom family learning patience, empathy, and acceptance for everyone.
My Project
Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) opportunities in the early childhood classroom will allow my students to have hands-on experiences to develop new ways of solving problems and increase curiosity. Preschool children learn through hands-on experiences and having hand2mind STEM Bins Learn and Play Small Groups will provide multiple opportunities to explore, create, and learn STEM concepts at an early age. Students will have fun learning to build structures presented to them and problem solve with various materials to construct, revise, and finalize their work.
Early STEM experiences will likely mean students will have a better understanding of how the concepts they are learning relate to the world of science, engineering, and math.
Students will be learning lifelong thinking skills, math concepts, engineering as well as, working collaboratively in small groups. In Preschool we have always been working on STEM experiences in the block area, with puzzles, gardening, and other science activities, but having STEM kits will help put the emphasis on the planning, execution, and analysis that goes into working on real-life problems and finding solutions.
