Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our youngest of learners (our preschool children) come to us speaking Spanish. With over 80% of our school population being Hispanic, we are teaching our students new concepts and language at the same time. We want to support this amazing opportunity for our students by providing additional exposures to the language, themes, topics, and vocabulary. And what better way to do that than through read alouds with amazing picture books?

Our teachers will use these books to support rich discussions around our "Plants" unit.

The stories in this project will support the understanding of plants, gardens, fruits, vegetables, and more!
