My Project

I am a 2nd year teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools and still need a lot of materials to make my classroom the best possible environment for my learners.

The items that I am requesting are going to be utilized throughout my classroom during small group, table stations, and independent learning to encourage learning in a fun and interactive way.

The goals for this project are to allow my students to manipulate these different materials in a way that makes them want to come to school and learn every day, making the most out of the learning. Some of the resources I have requested include: sensory bubble poppers, a shape sorting center, Consonant-Vowel-Consonant words giant activity dice, magnetic numbers and letters, puzzles, play dough and accessories to use with the play dough.

PreK students learn the best and grow their brains the fastest through hands-on, interactive play-based learning, and these manipulatives will make this the most feasible throughout their school day.

This is most of my students' first experience in a school setting, so allowing them to enter a classroom with manipulatives that will make them eager and wanting to come to school will make such a difference in my little students' first year of school!
