Our preschool students are low income with family backgrounds from Mexico, Puerto Rico and Guatemala. Many students are from single-parent homes, facing many challenges. Our classroom is their first hands-on experience away from home. We are located in an urban community where violence occurs almost always. Families, however, strive to have their children attend school ninety-six percent of the time.
Students at this school strive to learn and develop artistic fundamentals and demonstrate the need for physical activities to keep their busy bodies happy and healthy!
Our school serves Pre-K through eighth grade students, offering many after-school programs in sports and language arts.
In our preschool young children have a huge love for music. We use music for many of our lessons and for gross motor. Learning here begins with happy music. Music captivated students attention therefore that learn in a very fun approach. The iPad is utilized to download many student favorite hits. The speaker will help us achieve a loud exciting sound. This will not only involved all students participation but also help teachers get excited about teaching just about any lesson in a more meaningful and exciting way. Music in our classroom in an important approach inorder to learn fun lessons!
