This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have an adventurous and fun group this year. They are willing to learn and have fun while doing so. Our school is located in a low economic minority area of town, and quite a few students don’t even speak English. The language barrier can be a real issue at times. I want to be able to provide them with an environment rich in the tools necessary to build on their physical, cognitive, and social emotional capabilities.
My Project
These materials will help my students by adding some new and exciting fine-motor manipulatives to the classroom. These manipulatives will not only help with fine-motor skills, but also enhance their visual letter recognition skills. The addition of these crafts and organization tools will help keep our classroom centers organized and visually appealing. Children love to be able to make things with their own hands and I am hoping to be able to provide these materials as an addition to our classroom so the children can be as creative as they can possibly be!
