Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my Crafts and Ceramics 1 course spend a whole unit exploring different paper arts. From sculpture to quilling, we do a few different projects using only paper where students often need to cut pieces of paper evenly and or symmetrically. Many attempt this by hand with scissors and for some that need more precise lines will use my 15 year old (possibly older) paper cutter. The past 4 years lines have not been entirely straight as it is getting old and worn from years of use.
Having a new paper cutter that can cut up to 20 pieces in a straight line at a time, will benefit my students during the paper arts unit this year and for years to come.
