My Students

A typical day of my class always starts with a joyful and energetically greeting! My goal for the class is prepare them to have a better transition for the life after graduate from high school. "Do my best equals success." is always the encouragement I give to my class.

Students in my Functional Life Skills class are a group of grade 9-12 students with intellectual disabilities.

They are a group of students who know that everybody has different level of disabilities. They also know that hard work equals success. Students in our class learn not only academics but also life skills to prepare the life after graduating from high school. I am inspired by my students every single day. Their life is never easy due to cognitive and physical disabilities. But there is nothing can stop them to achieve the goals. They are polite, respect, and always try the best they can.

My Project

My class is setting a structure workshop for students to practice different work skills such as boring, counting, assembly, and packaging. This pre-voc skills set support students to break down tasks into simple steps and help students advance successfully.

Students in Functional Life Skills can be beneficial and attain better experience in vocational skills practice.

Those pre-made vocational kit provide more various opportunity for students and really save staff's time/money to create them by hand.
