My Students

"In a world where you can be anything, be kind." Students see this motivational thought prominently displayed throughout our school. My class of 11 and 12-year old students are bright, thoughtful, and kind.

My students have a wide range of learning abilities, but they are all mastering the art of kindness.

Our school community has evolved into a more diverse population with ethnic and cultural differences. These sweet students embrace diversity with positivity and curiosity, showing kindness to all their peers. As 6th graders, they are the "big kids" of the school and are showing their younger peers what it means to be kind and inclusive of others.

My Project

My 6th grade class is filled with bright, exuberant students who love to learn. But, most of them have been stuck with the same desk and chair combination for 6 years! My students need flexible seating to improve learning in the classroom.

Flexible seating options will create a more comfortable learning environment.

Students' ability to choose their seating gives them a sense of autonomy in the classroom.

My pre-teen students need a change from the classroom seating options.

Flexible seating and lap desks will help my students be more comfortable in the classroom and improve their learning atmosphere.
