Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Students Need STEAM Activities, Too!

Help me give my students developmentally appropriate tools to inspire creative thinking and problem-solving. Design-Build Engineering Centers and LEGO Education My XL World are made specifically for pre-Kindergarten and kindergarten students.

My Students

As a STEAM specialist, I am privileged to work with each and every one of the students in our elementary school. A majority of those students qualify for free or reduced lunch. But, they show up every day. They show up eager to learn. Eager to share their passions. Eager for hugs. Eager to grow!

Our school's student population is incredibly diverse.

This is one of my favorite things about this group of students. Every day, I hear multiple languages and learn about different traditions. The students love to share their personal experiences with me and with each other. We all learn from each other and grow together!

My Project

My classroom is full of a variety of STEM resources to give my students opportunities to learn through play. This year, Pre-Kindergarten was added to my roster and I realized a majority of my resources are geared towards my oldest students.

My Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students are the ones who benefit the most from learning through play.

And they're the ones who have the fewest resources available in my classroom!

With these STEM resources, I will create stations for my Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students that allow them to work together in small groups and learn through play. They will practice problem-solving, critical thinking, fine motor skills, and they'll have fun while doing it!
