In the 2026-2027 school year, I will begin a brand new position at Zanewood STEAM School as they open their second center-based classroom for students receiving special education services for Autism Spectrum Disorder. I don't know the classroom space or the students. However, I was lucky enough to work for a non-profit that partnered with Zanewood during the 2023-2024 school year. I had the privilege of working with every class Pre-K to 5th grade as the engineering lab teacher. It has been a few years, but many of the staff are the same, the warm and welcoming team vibe is still there, and I recognize a few student names on my roster. There will be a lot of needs to discover as I meet my class and see my room for the first time, but I can not wait to begin supporting these amazing students!
