This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Lots of my students come from a low socioeconomic status in which their families work long hours to meet their personal needs, but that has not stopped them from being present in their children's educational journey. Our parents deserve to see their children in a cap and gown to celebrate their academic success in their first year of school.

Our students also deserve to be celebrated in a big way with a cap and gown as they celebrate that they are young learners and have achieved their personal goals this year.

They have seen the growth from not knowing how to write their name to knowing their ABCs and how to play with friends. They all have developed a passion for school that deserves to be highlighted and celebrated.

This project will also help future generations of new learners!
