My Students

Our Pre Kindergarten classroom is a fun group of 18 English Language Learners. This is the students' (ages 3 and 4) first school/classroom experience. More than 80% of the students come from low economic backgrounds. We thrive on hands-on learning, working in small groups and music and movement. Each day we are building friendships, teaching responsibility and respect. Students come to school with limited skills but a drive and excitement for learning new concepts. Thank you for considering my classroom!!

My Project

The math manipulative and puzzles chosen will help our 3 and 4 year old students to continue their love of hands-on learning. The light table and pegs with help the students with their fine motors skills and color recognition. The students will work together to complete the giant floor puzzles and improve their writing skills when using the tracing numbers. Each activity will be allotted for each small group of students to use daily especially the magnetic animals. Children love to learn about and play with animals!! Our Pre K is the first school experience; therefore all purchased materials will be used, valued and appreciated for Pre Kindergarten children for years to come. Thank you!!
