Meet Taylor's 18 terrific things, inspired by Dr. Seuss! We are a Head Start Pre-K classroom in the only Pre-K through 12th grade school in our school District. The school is located in a rural farming community where cotton, peanuts, and corn are just a few of the crops that are grown. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, some of who are homeless or in foster care.
For many of my students, this is their first school experience; and it is my passion to inspire a love of learning in them that will last a lifetime.
Together we form a school family where we learn and grow through a variety of engaging hands-on activities throughout the day. Through participation in these activities, my little learners develop cognitive and social skills and language abilities, as well as acquire a strong foundation in the knowledge and skills for school success.
My Project
My students need the following items to help make small group learning fun. We need construction paper, dry erase board holders, alphabet rubbing plates, caddies to hold our writing utensils and supplies, trays for rolling play dough and alphabet centers. My students will learn letter recognition, alphabet knowledge and handwriting.
Lots of hands-on activities will help my Pre-k students learn.
My students love small group instruction and these supplies will help make small groups even more enjoyable.
My students will use these items and more during small group instruction and also during free choice center time. Please consider donating to my classroom.
