My Students

I have a high energy class of 22 preschool students.

My children are from rural low-income home.

These children were tested and determined to be at risk by our school district. They use 4k as a head start to be successful in kindergarten. They are eager to learn, and like little sponges learning all that I have to teach them. Our school is a district-sponsored child development center with 6 four-year-old classes and 1 preschool special education class.

It is a small school with a close-knit family community feeling.

My Project

Our class will work on teamwork and critical thinking while learning to program Cubetto the robot. The robot allows students who are unable to read to code without screen time. It is a system that is accessible to all of our diverse learners. Students use puzzles like blocks and a programming board to write code.

Programming allows children in early childhood to learn the thinking process they will need in the future.

With Cubetto, we can figure out how to move through a maze, draw shapes, or get a ball from one point to another. Your donation will make these engaging learning experiences possible for the students in my classroom!
